Coverage: This was the first year that this event took place. It was called the Bicycling and Travel Expo which took place downtown at the Minneapolis Convention Center. Lots of people showed up to check everything out. There were over 90 different companies that set up booths to display their latest products including bike companies and local bike shops. BMX Stunt Shows took place every two hours, and there was also a bike testing demo track with mountain bike obstacles in the middle. One guy had a "Seven Cycle" seven-person circular bicycle that he had bought from Germany that retails at $18,000. The guy is an English teacher. There was a custom BMX/Skate Ramp company also at the show called SunRamps, which specialize in quality lightweight portable ramps. They built the brand new 5' box for the BMX Stunt Shows and was it ever nice... Oh yea, and in the "Antique Bicycle Show" the PeeWee Herman bike was on display...

Riding Highlights: Definetly the teeter-totter and the 2x4 bridge in the MTB area... And the seven-person bicycle... Lots of flatland by Rich, and lots of box tricks from Nick and Dustin. Flips, whips, 3's, indian airs, nothings, no handers, 1 handed no footed cans, trucks, 3whips, etc. Rich even did a flatland superman stall thing on the deck of the box while Dustin did no handers and flips over him. Troy showed up and shredded the ramp for a bit as well as Mr. Jay Schlie busting out some wicked turndowns, 1 footed x-ups to can-cans, and the sweetest candy bars you will ever see. So sweet they will give you a tooth ache! Deljon got all the good stuff on moving film, and Tristan got all the good stuff on still film.
